Look at What We Made

Here are 3 of the cards we made last night at my monthly Card Class:

Two Tags Punch Bunch Card

This card featured the Punch Bunch stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog, the Two Tags Sizzix Die (a Stampin’ Up! exclusive), and the color Rich Razzleberry.

Nature Walk Birdcage

This card uses the Nature Walk stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog and the Chantilly Crochet Trim. The square image was stamped using a clear block only (no stamp attached) and Crumb Cake ink. The card stock colors are Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla.

Punch Bunch Owl

Our peeking owl highlights the Punch Bunch stamp set and the Wood Grain background stamp. The frame around the owl was made using the 1-3/4″ circle punch and the 2-3/8″ scallop circle. The card stock colors are Early Espresso and Crumb Cake.

Sweets & Stamping Card Class

Here is one of the 6 cards we will be making Friday night at the Sweets & Stamping Card Class. We will be using lots of the new products from the Occasions Mini Catalog. This card uses the new Create a Cupcake stamp set, the matching Build a Cupcake punch, and the glamorous Glimmer Paper.

Christmas Countdown Advent Ideas

Advent Christmas Calendar Countdown Ideas

Here are my ideas for activities that can be included in the Candy Christmas Countdown Calendar. Please leave a comment if you have an activity to add to the list.

1. Get the Christmas tree

2. Decorate the Christmas tree

3. Set up the nativity and advent wreath

4. Shop for a family in need (Angel Tree)

5. Make and send out Christmas cards

6. Make a gift for a teacher

7. See the “Twin Living Christmas Trees” at Jefferson Baptist Church (only until Dec 12)

8. Have hot chocolate with a candy cane stirrer

9. Write a letter to Santa or send a Christmas card to a soldier

10. Watch a Christmas movie at home with popcorn

11. Go out and view Christmas lights (Zoolights at www.brzoo.org or Celebration in the Oaks in New Orleans at www.celebrationintheoaks.com)

12. Make and decorate cookies for Santa

13. Attend the “Jones Creek Christmas Parade” on Sunday, December 12 at 2:00 pm

14. Make a gingerbread house

15. Work on a Christmas puzzle

16. Watch videos or look at pictures of Christmas memories

17. Have your picture taken with Santa

18. See a movie in the theater – Chronicles of Narnia (Dec 10) or Yogi Bear (Dec 17)

19. Go Christmas caroling or call grandparents and sing carols

20. Make paper chains or string popcorn for the Christmas tree

21. Have a family game night

22. Make Christmas gift tags and wrap presents

23. Go “Skating on the River” at the River Center (starting December 17)

24. See “The Nutcracker: A Tale from a Bayou by the BR Ballet (Dec 18 and 19)

25. Coupon for late bedtime/no chores/extra snack

26. Buy a new ornament

27. Christmas shopping with Mom/Dad

28. Make a donation to the Salvation Army bucket

29. Have a picnic for dinner/go somewhere special for dinner

Christmas is Coming! Come Make a Christmas Countdown Calendar!

Here are the close-ups for this cute boxes. All of the materials are pre-cut and ready for you to assemble. You can then personalize each of the boxes for your own family. You could add candy to each box but I have a great list of other ideas that you can enclose inside.

We will be making this cute countdown calendar on Sunday, November 28 at 1:30 pm at my house. The cost is $22.
