I love make to Thank You cards and send them to my customers.  This is a card that is elegant yet "sweet and simple".  By changing the greeting stamp, you can use this design and the Paisley Petals designer series paper to make Birthday, Thank You, Sympathy, or Thinking of You cards.  To make the ribbon scrunching, I used Sticky Strip and scrunched the ribbon directly on to it.

Ink: Old Olive

Paper:  Baja Breeze CS, Old Olive CS, Paisley Petals DSP, Whisper White DSP

Cool Tools:  1-3/4" x 7/8" Oval L punch, Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack, Scallop Oval XL punch

Sweet Touch: Old Olive satin ribbon, Basic Pearls jewels

My Sweet and Simple stamping style had fun playing with the Plane & Simple stamp set.  This is a great "go to" stamp set for making masculine cards.  I also like the tone on tone stamping using the River Rock cardstock.

I needed to make Thank You Cards and immediately I was drawn to the beauty and simplicity of the purple card.  While I probably didn’t have all of the supplies they used, I still wondered “How did they make that card?”

Stampin’ Up! used to include all of the Stamping Supplies (or recipes) for each project in the back of the catalog.  Now, they offer a separate download that has all of this information:

While I didn’t have all of the supplies listed for the card, I was able to find out that the colors were Concord Crush and Perfect Plum, and I could also see all of the supplies used to make the card.  Here is my version of the card:

I added the extra punch behind the sentiment and just made it “Sweet & Simple“.

This card featured the Punch Bunch stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog, the Two Tags Sizzix Die (a Stampin’ Up! exclusive), and the color Rich Razzleberry.

This card uses the Nature Walk stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog and the Chantilly Crochet Trim.  The square image was stamped using a clear block only (no stamp attached) and Crumb Cake ink.  The card stock colors are Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla.

Our peeking owl highlights the Punch Bunch stamp set and the Wood Grain background stamp. The frame around the owl was made using the 1-3/4″ circle punch and the 2-3/8″ scallop circle.  The card stock colors are Early Espresso and Crumb Cake.

The Lucky Shamrock stamp in the Occasions Mini Catalog was designed for use with the 1-3/4″ circle punch but I wanted a larger image. Stampin’ Up! came to the rescue with the Lucky Shamrock Digital Brush Stamp.

For less than a $1, you can download this digital image and use it in your own word processing or publishing software.  You can download all of the My Digital Software products as jpeg files, so you don’t even have to own the software.

Here is another card we made on Friday at the Card Class.  We used the Bold Blossom set from the Occasions Mini Catalog and the bright and cheerful color combination of Tangerine Tango and Old Olive.  The center of the flower is a button from the Sweet Stitches Designer Big Buttons.  Don’t these look great together?  I also just love the name Tangerine Tango.

I added a few touches to bring this card to my “sweet & simple” standards.  (It’s easy for me to make a simple card but it needs a few touches to be “sweet”.)

1. I added the 1/8″ White Taffeta ribbon through the button holes.
2. I stamped the butterfly twice without re-inking the stamp in between to give a nice color variation.
3. I used stampin’ dimensionals to “pop up” my greeting.

I just loved the "Good Luck" saying in the FREE Sale-A-Bration set "So Happy for You".  This stamp set comes with a small clover but I wanted a large clover as the focal point of my card.

You can quickly punch out 4 hearts from Designer Series Paper, pop on a button, and create your own clover.
