Here is another card we made on Friday at the Card Class.  We used the Bold Blossom set from the Occasions Mini Catalog and the bright and cheerful color combination of Tangerine Tango and Old Olive.  The center of the flower is a button from the Sweet Stitches Designer Big Buttons.  Don’t these look great together?  I also just love the name Tangerine Tango.

I added a few touches to bring this card to my “sweet & simple” standards.  (It’s easy for me to make a simple card but it needs a few touches to be “sweet”.)

1. I added the 1/8″ White Taffeta ribbon through the button holes.
2. I stamped the butterfly twice without re-inking the stamp in between to give a nice color variation.
3. I used stampin’ dimensionals to “pop up” my greeting.

Here is a digital card I made using the new Timeless Stamp Brush Set.  This brush set is perfect for vintage cards, masculine cards, or heritage scrapbooking.  You can see all of the stamps in the set in yesterday's post.

Here are a few tips when using My Digital Studio or your own digital scrapbooking program:

1.  When using Designer Series Paper, you can either add it as a page layer or add it into a photo box.  If you are going to stretch the image like I did with the Night of Navy stripes, you can just add the stripes as a page layer and adjust the size to your liking.  If you want to keep the Designer Series Paper images true-to-size, then you first want to add a photo box and then insert the Designer Series Paper into the photo box.  Here is what I mean:

2.  I "stamped" the car from the Timeless Stamp Brush Set twice: once in Night of Navy and once in Soft Suede to achieve this vintage look of the car in motion.  Stamp the image in one color and then re-size it.  Then copy and paste the image changing the color and aligning it just next to the original image.

3.  I used the "drop shadow" effect on the Pumpkin Pie knot and the Night of Navy Scallop Oval Punch.  I like to use 60% to really enhance the shadow effect.

4.  The sentiment "Celebrate You" is from A Little Birthday Cheer Stamp Brush Set and is "stamped" onto the oval cardstock.  The oval cardstock color was "color matched" to the vertical stripe in the Travel Journal Digital Kit.  Color matching makes it very easy to select your colors.

This is the Birthday Card that I made for my Team Members in May who were celebrating a Birthday.  The Garden Greetings stamp set makes a very nice monochromatic Pacific Point card.  By adding a few embellishments such as a Corduroy Button, a Small Grommet, and a White Brad, you can make a Garden Greetings Birthday Card!

This card showcases the Georgia Peach Designer Series Paper and the new Flower Designer Brads on the 5/8" Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon.  I love how all of the Stampin’ Up! ink, cardstock and embellishments always coordinate with each other.

The new Scallop Edge punch was used to create the top scallop border effect.  I have lots of other cute ideas using the Scallop Edge punch coming soon.  The Flower brad is simply wrapped around the ribbon and then attached to the card using mini glue dots.

The "Birthday hugs and wishes" is from the Hugs & Wishes stamp set.

Welcome to my new website!  I am happy to share with you my current Stampin’ Up! projects.

As you can see, my style is quick and cute.  This card uses one of my favorite SU! colors ~Regal Rose~ and a new Designer Series Paper (DSP) called Georgia Peach.  This paper is now available in the Fall-Winter 2008 Idea Book and Catalog.  I embellished the So Saffron scallop punch-out using a white gel pen.  The edge of the DSP was created using the new Scallop Edge punch with the added lace effect created using the 1/16" hand punch.  The stamp set is called Party Hearty.  This is my standard layout for a birthday card.  It’s easy to change the theme just by changing the cardstock colors.
