I used the kit from the catalog and added an "easel" and the binding to hold it together.  All of the other embellishments (ribbon, die-cuts, and monthly tabs) are included in the kit.  I have a limited number of these calendar kits  available for sale with the easel and binding.  You will finish the decorating by adding the ribbon, die-cuts, and monthly tabs.  It will take you about 10 minutes to complete each kit.  Isn’t this a great idea for teachers, co-workers, and family members?

Bella Rose Box

My big sister has a big birthday tomorrow, so I needed a special box for her present.  I used the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper to quickly make this gift box.  My daughter Katelyn said "totally cool", so I think I have a winner.

Stamps:  Short Order Alphabet

Paper:  Bella Rose Designer Series Paper; Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, and Kiwi Kiss cardstock

Ink:  Riding Hood Red

Cool Tools:  1-1/4" and 1-3/8" circle punches, round scallop punch

Bling:  white gel pen, 5/8" old olive ribbon

To assemble the box: Score 12"x12" cardstock at 4" and 8" in both directions, creating a tic-tac-toe grid with a 4" square center.  From the top and bottom of the cardstock, cut score lines to first cross score line to create flaps.  Fold flaps inside and adhere withTombow Multi Purpose adhesive.

.

To assemble the lid:  Score 7-1/8" square cardstock at 1-1/2" from both directions, creating a tic-tac-toe grid with a 4-1/8" center.  From the top and bottom of the cardstock, cut score lines to first cross score line to create flaps.  Fold flaps and adhere with Tombow adhesive.

Shelli Gardner recently demonstrated place settings for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years using the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper, Top Note Big Shot die, and the Curly Label Punch Bunch.  She also shows a treat box for Christmas using the Big Shot pillow box die.  You can view the video by clicking here or on the picture.

These decorated jumbo paper clips make great bookmarks.  Punches such as the circle and scallop circle are a huge timesaver when making these bookmarks.  You can find the jumbo paper clips in the office supply aisle at Wal-Mart.  I like to use my scraps and bits of ribbon to make these bookmarks.  You can personalize them by using a monogram or by using someone’s favorite color (hence the tempting turquoise with the soccer ball).  The bookmarks are made with 2 pieces of the largest size  (i.e., 2 scallop circles) and a pop-up glue dot smashed in the middle holding everything together.
