It is really simple to create this project. First you will need just 3 pieces of Designer Series Paper (2 pieces the same for the bag/box and then 1 other design for the trim).
Here the light blue patterned paper was used for the bag and then multicolor paper and chocolate chip patterned paper (all from the Frosty Day pack) were used for trim.
Score the two 12×12 pieces used for the bag, 2 inches on 3 sides, shown here. Then cut where shown to create a flap so the box can be folded. Do the same for both pieces.

Then, use adhesive on the flaps to assemble. fold, and hold the box/bag together. Adhesive on the inside of all the flaps on one o fthe pieces.

Then wrap the Chocolate Chip paper around the top about 1/4 of an inch from the top. You will need 2 pieces to go all the way around.
Then cut another 2 inch piece of trim (2 pieces) and scallop both. Then also wrap around the top.

Next, wrap a piece of ribbon around the bag.
Next, add the snowflakes and rhinestone to the top, center area of both sides.
Lastly, adhere the ribbon straps and stuff with gift and tissue paper.

Love these colors. Miss the paper but again you can stil purchase it on the Clearance Rack or make the bag using your favority Designer Series Paper for any occasion!

Cute Little Holiday Gift Bag
Filed Under 3-D Items | Leave a Comment
This is designed as a holiday gift bag, but you can use the template and instructions to create the bag for any occasion!!! This bag is created using the Christmas Cocoa Specialty paper from the Holiday Mini catalog, striped grosgrain Chocolate Chip ribbon, Clear Rhinestone brad, and a large felt Snowflake from the Clearance Rack!

Here’s how to make it. Lots of steps but it is easier than it looks!
Start with selecting what paper you’d like to use and then cut
- One piece at 9 x 12.
- One piece at 3 x 7.
- One piece at 3 x 9.
Instructions
- Score the 9 x 12 piece at the 1, 2, 7 and 8 inch marks.
- Rotate and score at 5 and 7 inch marks.
- Cut the score marks at the 5 and 7 marks (see image).

- Use SNAIL adhesive or Sticky Tape to the inside of the flaps to begin building/folding the box together.

- Complete the box.

- Then using the 3 x 7, score at the 1 and 6 inch mark and then rotate and score at 1-1/2.
- Then use the 3 x 9, score at the 1, 2, 7 and 8 inch marks, rotate and score at 1-1/2.
- Cut triangles as shown here — used to fold along the top (also shown here).

- Completed box and project. Ribbon was added and the snowflake attached using a Clear Rhinestone brad.

Other Ideas
- Stamp on the paper (before assembling), such as using Baroque Motifs or other swirl-type of stamp set and then a dark ink like Chocolate Chip.
- Use other embellishments to decorate the bag.
Last but not least…don’t miss the HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA!!!!!

Halloween Treat Bag
Filed Under 3-D Items, Halloween, Sponging | Leave a Comment
The previous In Color House of Haunts post, the same stamp set and colors were used and was the inspiration for this simple, but cute treat bag.

First, cut a piece of Night & Day designer series paper (here black with white polka dots) 4 inches by 12. Then score at the 5" and 7" mark and fold (making a triangle-type of shape). Since this is designer series paper and thinner than the regular cardstock, I also cut a piece of 2×4 piece of Bermuda Bay paper at the bottom for better support.
For the front panel, I stamped the haunted house image and tree branches in Basic Black ink then used sponges to color "the sky" with Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay. Then matted the paper on a piece of Bermuda Bay paper. Then sponged the corners of the Bermuda Bay paper with black in as well. Adhere the front panel to the bag front using SNAIL Adhesive.
Fill a small cello bag with Kisses or desired candy or snack.
Lastly, create the desired greeting with black ink, Whisper White and Bermuda Bay cardstock. Then align the greeting, the bag, and the paper and hold close while punching a hole. You can use the Crop-a-dile to create a large hole or a handheld punch if creating a small hole. Thread the ribbon through them all and tie a bow.
Other View:

Other Thoughts:
- Use the Brayer Tool instead of Sponging.
- Use Black Embossing as in the In Color House of Haunts card.
- Use a brad or Build-a-Brad instead of ribbon to hold the bag shut.
- To make the project even simpler, don’t do any sponging, instead stamp the house image in Rich Razzleberry and the greeting in Bermuda Bay (for example). Eliminate all sponging and this project is a cinch, fast, and can be duplicated quickly to prepare many treat bags for your upcoming Halloween visitors.

Beary Girl Gift Bag
Filed Under 3-D Items, Build-a-Bear, Sponging | Leave a Comment
I decided to create a gift bag to match the Build-a-Bear card from my previous post using Beary Nice Wishes and Beary Best Friends stamp sets. I think you’re gonna love it! I added Crystal Effects and sponged the Silk Flower to add some more accents, however without those additions, this bag would have been quick and easy to create (fun for kids)!
.jpg)
Since Crystal Effects takes time to dry, I created this front panel first. Cut a 4 x 8 inch piece of patterned paper from Pawsitively Prints designer series paper and then added Crystal Effects on the green diagnonal striped pattern. Set aside to dry while continuing to work on the bag.

Next I cut a 4-1/4 x 8 inch piece of Pretty In Pink cardstock and then used the Cutter’s Kit (Distressor Tool) to rough the edges. The above panel would then eventually be adhered to this panel using SNAIL Adhesive.
Next, cut a 1/2" x 8 inch piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamp the greeting across it again and again, and punch/place pink brads in between each phrase.
Then stamp the bears and balloons in Chocolate Chip Ink. Color the bear and balloons using Stampin’ Write Markers (I used Pretty In Pink, Summer Sun, Certainly Celery, Creamy Caramel). When finished, add Cystal Effects. Set bag aside to dry.

Lastly, creating the Silk Flower. Sponge flower with Pretty in Pink Classic Ink. Then re-sponge edges with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink. I then punched 2 flowers using the Boho Blossoms punch (in Pretty In Pink paper and the patterned paper), pierced them with a 1/16" Circle Handheld punch, and placed a green brad (from Soft Subtles Brad Collection) through the punched flowers and the large Silk Flower from the Pretties Kit.

Remember to check out the new Build-a-Bear product line in the Holiday Mini Catalog!

Bella Bleu Art Journal
Filed Under 3-D Items, Embossing | Leave a Comment
With this project I thought I would bring a little scrapbooking into a 3-D project, a journal. This project is relatively easy to create but still elegant featuring the new Wedding Sweet stamp set (page 48) in the new Idea Book & Catalog. What I love about this project is that you can create one for many occasions – wedding, baby, friendship, recipes or just to use a your personal diary.
.jpg)
Stampin’ Up! product used:
- Wedding Sweet stamp set
- Sweet Swirls wheel
- Bella Bleu designer series paper
- Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware
- Vintage Brads
- Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon
- Chocolate Chip Craft Ink
- Clear Embossing Powder
- Heat Gun
- Cutter’s Kit (Distressor Tool)
- 1/16" Circle Handheld Punch
- Spiral Punch
- Designer Label Punch
- Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla cardstock
- SNAIL Adhesive
- Art OnBoard Journal
Technique used: Heat Embossing
Instructions
- Begin with 4 pieces of 5-1/4 square pieces of Bella Bleu designer series paper (DSP). I used the Very Vanilla and Kraft piece of patterned paper.
- Using the large stamp in the Wedding Sweet stamp set, ink using Chocolate Chip Craft Ink, and then stamp once in the upper left corner. Then re-ink and stamp again in the upper right corner as shown below or as desired. Sprinkle with Clear Embossing Powder. Then heat with heat gun.

- Then, ink the Sweet Swirls wheel in Chocolate Chip Craft Ink – roll it a few times in the Craft Ink pad. Then roll across the bottom of the paper. Again, sprinkle with Clear Embossing Powder and heat.
- Cut a 3-1/4 x 2-1/4 piece of Sahara Sand paper. Adhere it to a 3-1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Chocolate Chip paper. Then adhere that to a 3-3/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Very Vanilla. Then use the Distressor Tool (part of the Cutter’s Kit shown below) to rough/distress the edges of the Very Vanilla paper. Adhere to front. This is a mat for a photo picture.

- Wrap a piece of Chocolate Taffeta Ribbon around the front (but above the Sweet Swirls border.
- Place where you want the Hodgepodge Hardware, use a pencil to mark the holes that you will then punch with the 1/16" handheld punch.
- Punch a piece of DSP (of your choice) for the greeting/journal box using the Designer Label Punch and adhere to front. Then place hardware. Final front page shown below. This is an area for a name or personal greeting. Or you can stamp a greeting (before assembling the hardware) or use rub-ons for a note or greeting as well.
.jpg)
8. Then it is time to punch the spiral for each piece of paper using the Spiral Punch. Punch one side of each paper.
9. Then adhere using SNAIL Adhesive.

In this picture you can see some of the sprial has been placed down (left) while I was still placing the rest (on the right). Using Stampin’ Up!’s Spiral Punch aligns them perfectly.
Other Possibilities
- Try other positions for the photo and designer label hardware layout.
- Experiment with other colors and other techniques.
- Use a stamp as the focal point instead of a photo.
- Add sponging with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink for a more vintage look.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project!

My daughter wanted to give these pencils to her teacher for Teacher Appreciation Day. We made the tag "match" the pencils and she signed the back of the tag. I think she did a great job for a 1st grader!
If I can help you with a Mother’s Day gift or a gift certificate for any occasion, please contact me.
I’ll also include a hand-stamped card for gift certificates over $25.
