This week’s samples will be using the new Build-a-Bear stamp sets Beary Best Friends, Seal of Pawthenticity, and Beary Nice Wishes, as well as the new Pawsitively Prints designer series paper.

Other products used

  • Pretty in Pink cardstock
  • Watercolor paper
  • Clear Rhinestone brads
  • Chocolate Chip and Certainly Celery Class Ink pads
  • Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Creamy Caramel, and Summer Sun Stampin’ Write Markers
  • 1/16" Circle Handheld Punch
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • SNAIL Adhesive
  • Blender Pen

 Technique used: Watercoloring.

Instructions

  1. Cut a standard card size in Pretty in Pink.
  2. Cut a piece of 4 x 5-1/4 piece of designer series paper (DSP) from the Pawsitively Prints package.
  3. Cut another 4 x 1/2 inch piece of the same DSP to be used as an accent across the focal panel.  Adhere it to the large piece using Clear Rhinestone Brads.


     

  4. Stamp a flower in the lower right corner and color with Summer Sun and Certainly Celery Stampin’ Write markers.
  5. Cut a piece of the Watercolor paper in 1/2 to be used for the front, focal panel.
  6. Create the front, focal panel by stamping a baby girl bear in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink (on Watercolor paper), and then color using the above noted markers and inks:
    1. Color bear with Chocolate Chip ink and blender pen
    2. Color dress in Certainly Celery ink and blender pen
    3. Color shoes and trim on dress with Pretty in Pink markers.
    4. Color flower in Summer Sun.
    5. Color bear’s snout in Creamy Caramel marker.
  7. Stamp the Bear Best Wishes greeting at the bottom of the front panel.
  8. Adhere the front panel to another piece of the same DSP but an 1/8 of inch larger.


     

  9. Adhere the front panel to the card front using SNAIL adhesive.
  10. Stamp the balloon on a separate scrap paper, color with Pretty in Pink, and cut out.
  11. Adhere the balloon to the front of the card using Dimensionals.
  12. Stamp the back of the card with one of the stamps from Seal of Pawthencitiy.

  

Other Suggestions

  • Add Dazzling Diamonds.
  • Use Crystal Effects.
  • Use markers only.
  • Add sponging to give it more of a vintage look.
  • User ribbon instead of the accent across the page and then use brads in the bottom right instead of the stamped flower.
